SILC: Weekly Digest (10/16/2011)

Dear SILC Students, Parents, Teachers and Volunteers:

Please note that we do not have SILC next week (on 22nd October) due to MEA weekend and we will meet on 29th october.

SILC Library 2.0:
SILC Library has some educational books, CDs, games which can be borrowed by SILC community. For the current inventory of items in SILC library, please click here or access the link http://www.silcmn.com/docs/SILC-Library_Inventory_2011-03-31.pdf
We are busy looking at reinvigorating the SILC library to become a valued resource for SILC students and families.  Currently, we're investigating both ways to ensure awareness of all that the library has to offer, to make it easy to check out and request materials, and to make it easy to maintain.

We want to leverage technology and also get students involved in raising awareness of the SILC Library Collection, and we'll be asking SILC families to help us understand what they would value and how they could leverage the resource.

More to come on this...look for an early 2012 launch!
